Using your smartphone in the bright Sunlight is often found difficult if the auto-brightness is turned off. It becomes nearly impossible for the user to see anything until the brightness is turned to a considerable level.
But Xiaomi has already found a way to adjust the display backlight even if auto-brightness is turned off. “Sunlight Mode” will switch to the highest brightness level once it gets the direct sunlight.

It is quite useful for users who often get into the direct sunlight and hate using the auto-brightness mode. Xiaomi Sunlight Mode uses readings from the ambient light sensor to make it work.
The OEM first introduced the feature in MIUI 11 and reportedly it is present in the latest MIUI 12.5 as well. So, in this article, we’ll see how to activate “Sunlight Mode” in your Redmi, Mi, and Poco smartphones.
How to enable Sunlight Mode?

- Go to Display
- Then go to Brightness Level
- One inside, just tap on the toggle for enabling SunLight Mode
