Xiaomi working on new smartphone battery tech to offer super fast charging support

According to a piece of new information by a famous Chinese tipster, Xiaomi is researching and developing dual cell smartphone batteries that support parallel charging technology to achieve faster charging speeds and charge rates.

The Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi is known to be one of the explorers in smartphone battery technologies. The company offers faster charging rates on both wired and wireless charging platforms. So, it won’t be surprising if the company is actually is working on parallel charging technology.

Back in March this year, Xiaomi introduced Mi 11 Pro smartphones that equips a 5000mAh Silicon Oxygen anode cell with up to 67W fast charge support. Therefore, the brand might be able to offer fast charging speeds that could reach up to 120W in the near future.

Moreover, a fast-charging rate of over 100W is not a new technology at all, some Xiaomi devices have already received it years ago. This includes the Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition (Mi 10 Ultra) that arrives with a dual cell 4500mAh battery with 120W fast wired charge support. The recently launched Black Shark 4 series also features the same.

Furthermore, when users have asked whether the new product flat products, the tipster responded that determine if the product is a mobile phone, the volume of a large-capacity dual-core tablet and the phone is not an order of magnitude more difficult.

Besides, we can say that the manufacturers may be improving the 120W fast charging technology and may pre-pack more smartphones with the technology. Just recently, we have heard that Xiaomi is preparing to launch Mi CC10 smartphones. It is said that the phone may feature a 4260mAh battery but it is not clarified whether the phone will support 120W fast charging.
