This week Xiaomi has already provided four new and different patents for its upcoming smartphones. Now the fourth one is surfing online, this time, this is a unique extendable rotating camera.
Earlier this year, Xiaomi patent a sliding screen display while the newly published documentation shows that the company is considering manufacturing a similar design, this time with a vertical slider. The side-slide system can contain an extra screen as well as a camera system.

As per the report, three different variants are shown with a side slider. The designs are basically the same, but one of the three designs is a dual slider phone. The phone has narrow screen edges and a full-screen design.
On the front side, there’s no selfie camera, the back is also completely free of cameras. However, this design gives the device a particularly elegant and unique appearance. But it’s not that this phone will not click photos, of course, it is possible to take a photo or video with this smartphone.
Thanks to the vertical slider tool, you can capture selfies as well as regular photo and video recordings. Moving the rear to the right, relative to the front, reveals both the selfie camera and the main cameras.
Three small circles are visible on the front, which could be a single selfie camera, an extra sensor, and a flash. It could also be a dual selfie camera but unluckily, the brief description does not make it clear. The triple camera with flash is mounted on the rear of the slide system.
Moreover, the second phone model also has a slide mechanism. This time, the left side is extendable, it contains a second screen. It is a relatively narrow, elongated display. Able to use as a keyboard while composing a message or for operation while gaming. It is worth mentioning that there are no rear cameras on this model.
That’s where the third model comes into play, which is actually a combination of the first two variants. This is the only dual slider smartphone. If you slide the device open to the left, a second screen will appear. By sliding the device to the right, the camera system becomes visible. This is clearly the most advanced variant.
