Poco wishes to introduce PocoUI as its own software skin

POCO, one of the sub-brand of Xiaomi has become the fastest-growing smartphone brand in India and other global markets. Since its establishment in August 2018, its phone’s are running on Xiaomi’s Android-based custom skin MIUI. Meanwhile, as per the new information, Poco is planning to say goodbye to MIUI.

In detail, AndroidCentral has recently had an interview with Kevin Xiaobo Qiu, general director of POCO Global, and Angus Ng, director of product marketing of POCO Global. Through with AndroidCentral has come to know that POCO will soon introduce its own custom UX, POCO UI.

Going by the report, POCO will continue to rely on Xiaomi to build their smartphones, but from now on they will try to differentiate themselves by creating a new layer of MIUI. However, they assured that for now, POCO will continue to be based on the MIUI but in the future, they could create their own interface.

Moreover, Angus Ng said that this year will be loaded with great news, totally exclusive software functions for the interface of its terminals. So the company is managing to differentiate itself from other Xiaomi devices that use MIUI without problems.

Adding to this, he confirms that their software is not the biggest strength of POCO, but from now on they will focus on improving the experience. They will provide not only new functionality but also try to fix the errors.
