Poco extends smartphone warranties by two months due to Covid-19 crisis in India

Since January 2020, Covid-19 disease is spreading all over the Earth, still, the situation is still getting worse day by day. Meanwhile, in order to work out the effects of this disease, many cities in different countries have been closed or locked down.

In this case, the smartphone users whose phone has malfunctioned cannot access the service center. Therefore, POCO, the sub-brand of Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has extended the warranty period by two months. This offer is only for Poco India users whose phone warranty was scheduled in May or June.

Adding to this, the company has also announced to not conduct any launch in May 2021. The company believes that this pandemic situation will improve soon, therefore, they have paused all their new launches for now.

By taking such a step, POCO India wants to explain that nothing is more important than the well-being of its employees, consumers, members of the POCO family, and everyone who has been associated with them.

Well, this is not the first time when Xiaomi is extending the product warranty. During the India lockdown in April last year, several smartphone manufacturers extended the warranty period for 90 days.

Personally, I believe that this is really a good way to support users in the pandemic. However, it doesn’t end the epidemic but to will surely help to reduce it.
