New MIUI 12.5 beta update comes with search experience optimization, bug fixes and more

Xiaomi was regularly providing new MIUI 12.5 beta updates to its eligible smartphones. Whereas for a few days, it wasn’t offering any new updates, that’s because of ongoing holidays in China. From May 3 to May 7, all the developers were on holiday and had not made any updates.

But now, the holidays are over and the company has again released a new MIUI 12.5 beta update in its home country, The new update can be identified via the build version 21.5.7. As per the official changelog, it adds a new desktop widget to provide a personalized search service.


It further fixes the lock screen problem when the notification bar is pulled down, the issue of not being able to browse multiple pictures, the video playback freezes, and the automatic deletion of cached videos, etc.

If you forgot, the last 21.4.28 version added new functions such as – users can call the camera to complete shooting and video recording in the quick app. It added multiple image zoom modes to optimize the image display effect. Also, it optimized the display effect of the quick app at the startup stage to enhance the user experience.

Note: From May 2, 2021, if there is a behavior of irrigation and hope to increase the internal test score, it will greatly reduce the probability of passing the internal test.
