Xiaomi to bring an affordable Redmi K40 gaming phone

At the end of the last month, Xiaomi introduced the first Redmi gaming smartphone, Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition in China. We all know that this is a mid-ranged device that costs 2,699 yuan (US$ 416 / Rs. 31,055 approx) for the 12GB+ 256GB memory variant.

Meanwhile, after its premiere, the head of the Redmi department disclosed that the company is about to bring affordable gaming phones to the markets. However, with the increase in price and the decrease in storage, it’s not easy to bring an affordable gaming phone.

But this does not upset Xiaomi as it is inspired by how users bought the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition at the start of the sale. It is said that the company will proceed to accomplish its commitment of manufacturing more gaming smartphones.

Therefore, the tech giant is working on an affordable gaming smartphone. Right now, we cannot clarify its specification but we can say that hardware platform could be its key specification. Also, this time, the manufacturers may use MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset.

If you don’t know, this chipset was launched in January this year. And it is formulated by using a 6-nanometer process technology and 8 processor cores. The graphics subsystem is represented by the Mali-G77 MC9.

Furthermore, as per the report, the lite version of this Redmi gaming phone may have a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charge support, a display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, and a 64MP primary camera.

The other specifications aren’t clarified yet, therefore, we should wait for the official announcement or more leaks to surf online.
