Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition launch scheduled for April 27

Back in February this year, Xiaomi launched its Redmi K40 series in China. The series includes three smartphones – Redmi K40, K40 Pro, and K40 Pro+. Later the company released POCO F3 as the rebadged K40 in global markets and is preparing to release it as Mi 11X series in India.

Today, the Chinese tech giant announced another smartphone of the series or the first Redmi gaming phone, which is the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. The firm confirmed that they are holding a launch event on April 27 to release this phone in China.

The company, Redmi released a GIF image to tease the key features of the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. The image reveals that the phone has mechanical shoulder buttons for enhancing users’ gaming experience.

Moreover, it has a vertical triple rear camera setup with some lighting available at the top-left corner of the phone. Aside from this, previously we have been confirmed that it will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.

Also, the 3C listing confirms 67W fast charging support for the smartphone. However, the battery capacity hasn’t confirmed yet, but it is expected to sport a 5,000mAh battery.

Its other internals may include a 6.67-inch S-AMOLED E4 screen, which can be found on the other K40 series smartphone. While the existing K40 series phones support a 120HZ refresh rate, the K40 Game Enhanced Edition is expected to offer a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
