Redmi gaming phone features 144Hz E4 AMOLED display supplied by Samsung

Xiaomi is set to launch its first Redmi gaming phone at the end of this month. The smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset and will run the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 operating system.

Meanwhile, a few key specs of the smartphone has appeared online. According to a Chinese publication, Sina Finance, the phone will be equipped with a Samsung AMOLED E4 display with a centrally positioned punch-hole. Its screen will carry support for up to 144Hz refresh rate for an excellent gaming experience.

Aside from this, the device has recently bagged China Compulsory Certificate, which reveals 67W fast charge support. However, there is no word on the battery capacity of the device.

Moreover, the smartphone is expected to come with gaming shoulder buttons similar to the Black Shark series phones for an enhanced gaming experience. For global markets, the device may arrive under the POCO brand.

When we talk about the price of the product, it may start with ¥2000 (~$305). Aside from this, there is still a lot we do not know about the phone, even the name of the phone is not suggested yet. We believe that more details should surface early as its release date draws closer.
