On December 28, 2020, Xiaomi first introduced the next version of its custom skin, MIUI 12.5 in China while on February 8 globally. However, it is not official in India yet but Manu Kumar Jain, the CEO of Xiaomi India confirmed that MIUI 12.5 will soon arrive in India,
Moreover, the new-gen MIUI comes with a lot of new features, improvements, and optimizations over its past versions. It not only changes the UI but also updates system applications.

For example, the new Gallery app allows you to make PDF by the gallery itself, it also gives you more filters for picture and video editing. The Notes app gives you a more visual ID for your notes and offers drawing tools so that you can make your notes more interesting.
Aside from this, soon the soon after the China release, Xiaomi has begun sending the MIUI 12.5 beta updates in the country. With every new update, the OEM has sent new features as well as fixes for a better user experience and made it the most lovable MIUI.
Furthermore, later in the last month, the firm started sending the stable MIUI 12.5 update for its first phase devices in China. Some devices have already received the update while some are about to.
