Following users feedback, Xiaomi released stable MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 11 in China

On December 25, 2020, Xiaomi beats all smartphone brands and released the first smartphone to equip Snapdragon 888 chipset. The smartphone comes with several new and most advanced features. It has a fingerprint heart rate detection function, wireless microphone, and more. Also, it can be connected to two Bluetooth headsets at a time.

Moreover, alongside the Mi 11 launch, the company has also released the next version of its custom skin, MIUI 12.5. However, the Xiaomi Mi 11 was not pre-installed with the latest android skin.

But a couple of days ago, Zhang Guoquan, director of the system software department of Xiaomi’s mobile phone revealed that Mi 11 is planning to start the internal test of the MIUI 12.5 stable version.

Thanks to a Xiaomi Mi 11 user for reporting that Xiaomi has started the internal test of the MIUI 12.5 stable version. Those who are eligible for the internal test can now receive the Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 stable internal test version.

The new MIUI 12.5.1 stable version only provides security updates without revealing any feature updates. Also, it can be identified via the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 built version V12.5.1.0.RKBCNXM, which is approximately 452M in volume.

How to check for update:

Alike every time, Xiaomi is rolling the latest update in different phases, some devices may receive it later. The following steps will help you to reach the latest update (if it has arrived at your handset).

  • Head to Settings
  • Go to System Updates
  • Click on Download and Install
