With the latest MIUI updates, Xiaomi also updates its features. This new MIUI AOD consumes minor battery power and allows users to take the advantage of this feature without worrying about battery life.

For the Xiaomi users whose smartphones don’t come pre-installed with AOD, the company has introduced its app, MIUI Always-on Display. However, this app only works on smartphones with AMOLED display, not LCD.

All smartphone brands prefer AMOLED display because they consume less battery. In general, you can keep the light and display, but with a tiny portion of power.
In contrast, LCD has an issue with managing power levels. When the phone is off, the display is completely out of power. That’s why only a few models have this app in their display settings.

Keep in mind MIUI Always-on display app for Android is integrated with the phone. MIUI is the system that only works on Xiaomi phones. Also, this app is not available on the Google play store app.
