Xiaomi to release new 67.1W GaN charger before the end of this month

Following the new information, a famous Web blogger discovered a brand new Xiaomi charger with the model number MDY-12-EU. The charger received the TUV certification in Rheinland.

Adding to this, according to DigitalChatStation, this charger supports up to 67.1W fast charging protocol. This isn’t the fastest charging offered by the company, Xiaomi has already released chargers with more fast charging support.

It could become the go-to choice for the upper mid-range devices from Xiaomi. Also, we can expect that Xiaomi’s upcoming devices in the mid-range to upper mid-range price could adopt similar fast charging technology support.

Currently, there’s no official detail regarding the launch of this product but as it has been certified, it may launch in the coming days/weeks. It is also expected that the charger will be released alongside the new smartphone launch later this month.

Talking about the charger configuration, GaN chargers use gallium nitride semiconductor materials which have the advantages of super thermal conductivity, high-temperature resistance, and acid-alkali resistance.
