According to the latest information, a well-known Weibo blogger stated that Redmi will announce the new machine after MediaTek’s new product is released. It may be launched after 20 January. Therefore, we can see the new Redmi flagship store as early as the end of this month.

In a previous report, MediaTek stated that they will release a new generation of 5G flagship chips before the Spring Festival. Therefore, industry analysts predict that they will use 5nm process technology.

Currently, MediaTek’s high-end chips are considered Dimensity 1000+. Therefore, there are good reasons to think that the flagship chip of the new generation MediaTek will be named Density 2000.

However, since MediaTek’s MT6893 chip will also be available soon, it is not yet certain whether the Redmi K40 will use Dimensity 2000 series chips. The latter uses a 6nm process and a large A78 core.

As the above-aforementioned chip, it surpassed Qualcomm’s flagship SoC in the early 2020 Geekben test. Now, it has a high score in the AnTuTu benchmark. The MediaTek MT6893 has four Cortex-A78 CPU cores. There is one core with a maximum frequency of 3.0GHz and three cores with a frequency of 2.6GHz.

It also integrates the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. As stated earlier, this chipset is for high-end smartphones, not flagship smartphones. Therefore, we think Redmi will choose this option to control the price of the Redmi K40.

However, Redmi K40 Pro has managed to appear on various certification platforms. It seems that we are dealing with the company’s first Snapdragon 888 phone. But we have also heard that this model will not be available until March.
