Xiaomi is rolling out a new stable MIUI 12 update for Redmi S2 smartphones in Russia. The update is based on Android 9 and it comes with a lot of new features and optimization.
The latest update holds the MIUI 12 version V12.0.1.0.PEFRUXM and it can be installed in 2.0GB. As per the official changelog, the update optimizes the Control center layout in landscape mode.

Furthermore, it has improved the dark mode – the dark mode will now support the third-party apps, contrast is lowered automatically in low light conditions to protect your eyes, and wallpapers can be displayed in a darker palette when your device switches to Dark mode.
Other than the dark mode, users can now hide private items while casting and minimize the window to multitask. With this update, the lite mode will simplify your device and bring essential features upfront. Also, security introduces new comprehensive privacy protection mechanisms.
